Aortic dissection – rupture

Free illustration of aortic rupture (aortic dissection – false lumen of the aorta). In the illustration this is caused by arteriosclerosis. Tunica media and the tunica intima have separated from each other and thus form a false lumen. The progression of the disease has led to a life-threatening rupture of the aorta at the level of the descending aorta.
