Creation of a 3D model of a human heart with occlusion of the pulmonary artery by means of a thrombus. The bifurcation of the left and right pulmonary artery is cut open in the model. An occlusion (thrombus) can be seen in the left pulmonary artery. The geometry of the model was designed with very high resolution in order to preserve as much detail as possible during subsequent 3D printing.
