Illustrations antibiotics

Description of design process of two illustrations on the mode of action of antibiotics for Engelhard Arzneimittel.

Together with Engelhard Arzneimittel, MedicalGraphics developed two illustrations on the mode of action of the antibiotic tyrosur. In the following we describe the process, which was characterized in particular by the communication with the medical consultants.

Content of the illustrations was once the presentation of the effect of the antibiotic Tyrosur on bacterial cells and the description of the processes on the cell wall of the bacterium. The briefing was a PDF created by the customer, which contained some illustrations and described the basic mode of action textually:  > link PDF <

Based on the document, the key points of the intended illustrations were worked out in cooperation with the customer by telephone and by email, and sketches were then made for the illustration. This sketches made it possible to quickly eliminate ambiguities and mistakes and to further develop the illustrations. Later design adjustments were the main focus.
