Treatment options for dysphagia after stroke and visualization of changes in brain activity.

Design of an illustration on the treatment methods for swallowing disorders due to a stroke (dysphagia) for a scientific publication. The following therapy options are shown in their mode of operation and where they are effective in the body: transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), peripheral neuromuscular stimulation (NMES), pharyngeal electrical stimulation (PES) and pharmacological therapies.

Visualization in the style of medical imaging for changes in the brain activity of the cortical representation of the act of swallowing in the recovery phase after the stroke.
