Parts of the anterior stomach wall have been removed to have a look inside the organ. As a result, the gastric entrance (pars cardiaca) and stomach (ostium cardiacum) can be seen in the transition to the esophagus (esophagus). As well as the gastric fundus (fundus ventriculi), the stomach body (corpus ventriculi), the stomach-doorman (pylorus). Particular emphasis was placed on the presentation of the different layers of the stomach wall (longitudinal layer, transverse layer, oblique layer).
