3D animation and three illustrations of the mod of action of the improved wound dressing “HydroTac” with greater focus on the hydrated polyurethanes in the gel contact layer.
The first part of the animation shows normal wound healing in which growth factors promote epithelialization. In the second part, the animation shows the use of a standard wound dressing. In addition to exudate, growth factors are also absorbed from the wound. These can no longer accelerate the healing process in the wound, which can slow down healing. The third part of the animation focuses on the polyurethane gel contact layer of HydroTac.
This is where the growth factors accumulate and remain in the wound. This in turn accelerates the epithelialization and healing of the wound. In addition, the HydroTac gel layer releases Ringer’s solution, which moisturizes the wound and accelerates the healing process.
