Patient film endometriosis

Multilingual patient film on endometriosis. Explanation of the disease pattern, ie the presence of uterine mucosa outside the uterus. Presentation of therapy possibilities and further information.

Endometriosis is a condition in which the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus, called the endometrium, grows outside the uterus. This tissue can grow on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, intestines, bladder, or other organs in the pelvic cavity.

The displaced endometrial tissue reacts to hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle in the same way as the endometrium in the uterus. It thickens, breaks down and bleeds, but because it is outside the uterus, it cannot leave the body, causing inflammation, pain and scarring.

The animation explained to the patient the causes and background of her conditions, as well as possible therapies and options for relief.
