3D animation of a herniated disc

3D animation about the causes of a herniated disc. Due to wear and tear, which is often age-related, the tissue of the outer annulus fibrosus tears in a herniated disc and the inner, gel-like core (nucleus pulposus) enters the spinal canal. There, the tissue presses on the spinal cord and spinal nerves, irritating them and causing pain and, in some cases, numbness in the area supplied by the nerves.
