Medical 3D animation for a study on monitoring patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease using optoacoustic imaging. Here, the tissue of the intestine is stimulated from the outside through the abdominal wall using laser pulses and the different reactions of tissue types (healthy intestinal tissue, inflamed tissue) are recorded by ultrasound and visualized in real time.
