3D animation to visualize the processes involved in a concussion in a side view (sagittal section). The anterior part of the frontal lobe and the occipital lobe are most frequently affected by movements of the brain in the skull, e.g. during a fall. Another source of trauma is shearing movements between different tissue layers of the brain.
