Sigmoidoscopy – transparent human

sigmoidoscopy-transparent -human

Description

Free schematic illustration of a sigmoidoscopy on a transparent human. In this procedure, a flexible endoscope (colonoscope) is inserted into the anus to search the last 30 to 40 cm of the colon (sigmoid) for pathological changes. Compared to a normal colonoscopy a sigmoidoscopy requires less time to prepare for the examination. It is used when pathological changes are suspected in the rectum or sigmoid colon or for follow-up after surgery.
