Design of an illustration comparing bonded and welded tips of medical laser fibers. The focus of the illustration is on the higher tensile strength of welded fibers. A zoom window shows the different states of the materials in a close-up view of the contact surfaces. A welded fiber has a higher tensile strength, i.e. the probability that the tip could come loose when the fiber is used is lower.
