Psoriasis App to determine the PASI score

Graphics for an application for the diagnosis of psoriasis disorders. Using a case study of a virtual patient, the severity of the disease is assessed (Pasi score).

PASI stands for Psoriasis Area and Severity Index and is a scoring system for measuring the severity of psoriasis, a chronic skin condition that causes red, scaly patches on the skin.

The PASI score takes into account the extent of psoriasis on the body as well as the severity of redness, thickness and scaliness of the affected skin. To calculate the PASI score, a healthcare provider assesses the patient’s skin by dividing the body into four areas: Head and neck, upper limbs, trunk and lower limbs. Each area is then rated based on the percentage of skin affected by psoriasis, and the severity of skin lesions in each area is graded on a scale of 0 to 4.

In the application, different severity levels of psoriasis were shown for the mentioned body regions. The user can now use the app to determine the Pasi score of the fictitious patient and train their skills to correctly classify the Pasi score.

For each of the severity levels and each body part, image sequences were created to view the regions from all angles.
