Background:
Faceted joints (intervertebral joints) are small joints between two vertebrae and ensure the mobility of the spine. In addition, the faceted joint, together with the intervertebral discs and ligaments, stabilizes the spine.
Project description:
Design of an anatomical illustration of the facet joints of the spine for a manufacturer of lasers and laser fibers (Biolitec). Since the illustration was to be used in a wide variety of applications, images were created in very high resolution (DIN A1 – 300dpi).
The illustration shows disorders in the left facet joint between the 3rd and 4th lumbar vertebrae. The area is marked in red and radiates slightly.
