3D animation to inform patients about the procedure and the risks of spinal anesthesia.

By injecting a local anesthetic into the spinal canal (cerebrospinal fluid space) at the level of the lumbar spine, signal transmission in the nerves originating from the spinal cord is inhibited. This allows large areas of the body to be anesthetized in a short time with relatively few side effects, while the patient remains fully conscious.
