Background:
Pelvic floor weakness is a condition in which the muscles and tissues in the pelvic floor area are weakened. The pelvic floor is made up of a group of muscles that support the bottom of the pelvis and perform important functions such as controlling the bladder and bowels, supporting internal organs, and providing support during pregnancy and childbirth.
Pelvic floor weakness can lead to a variety of symptoms, including incontinence. In incontinence, control of the bladder is impaired, which can lead to involuntary leakage of urine
Project description:
For a device of the company “Zimmer MedizinSysteme” for the therapy of incontinence disorders by using magnetic field therapy, we conceptualized and created a 3D animation. This magnetic field therapy causes a contraction of the pelvic floor muscles and thus strengthens the muscles. For the therapy the patient sits down on a special chair, in whose seat an applicator is inserted. The applicator causes contraction of the pelvic floor muscles.
The animation is aimed at practice staff and patients and conveys above all the core features of the device and its application situation.
